Object Lists are a nice hybrid option for searching & viewing the index of a particular object. This is a great approach when you need more control than the Global Search can offer, but building up a Report feels like overkill.

Portal Invites give HQ staff and chapter officers the ability to invite potential users to join MyDeltaSig, by creating an FSID account. Note that Portal Invites allow a potential user to bypass the "claim your account" process.

Interactions are used to track individual touchpoints with a particular Account or Contact. The concept is similar to Patriot's Journal entries with a type of call or email, but with added features and a higher level of accessibility. You can also attach Files to a specific Contact or Account.

Chatter is our go-to spot for internal communications. Think of it as the staff bulletin board, scoped to a specific object—like a Contact, Chapter or Higher Ed Institution. Chatter can be found on the right column, when viewing a single object.

The Fraternity and Sorority Identification (FSID) is a standard built by ChapterSpot, allowing Greek members to authenticate with ChapterSpot and other applications using a single account. When our members begin their onboarding via The Portal, they will be prompted to create an FSID.

Groups are a flexible, generic label for our various member organizations. In Patriot, we had Chapters, Alumni Associations and Alumni Corporation Boards. In Salesforce, each of these are considered a Group, with a Group Type to indicate the nature of a particular record.
