Report: Using Templates

In this example, we'll look at how to use Report templates. This approach will save time when building a new Report from scratch, by allowing you to skip the Report Type prompt. Let's get started!

  1. Visit the Reports page and click All Folders in the left-side navigation menu.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and select Templates.

  3. Find a Report, based on the records you're trying to access, and click 🔽.

  4. Select Edit from the dropdown menu.

  5. Make changes as needed, via the Outline and Filters tabs.

  6. Note the Save option is disabled. Click Run to see your results.

  7. If all looks good, click the 🔽 next to Edit, and Save As.

  8. Give the Report a name, description and a new home (ie, not the _Templates folder).
