Build up a new Report of all living members within a 50-mile radius of the Little Apple. 🍎
'Members Within 50 Miles of MHK' Report
Yo! This example is old-school—the approach outlined below still works, but we now have a better way of handling proximity filters.
In this Report example, we'll create a new Report and filter down to members who currently live within 50 miles of sunny Manhattan, KS. Let's get started!
Visit the Reports page and click New Report in the top-right corner.
Search for and select Contacts & Accounts, then click Continue.
You can customize the columns, but try adding these 5 via the Outline tab:
First Name
Last Name
Primary Zip/Postal Code
Primary City
Primary State
Switching over to the Filters tab, let's start by resetting the default values:
Show Me > All Accounts
Created Date > Range > All Time
Generate a zipcode list from Free Map Tools' zipcode search.
Input > Enter the radius of your search, in miles.
Input > Enter the zipcode you want to search on.
Input > Click search & confirm your results on the map above.
ZIP Codes > Copy to Clipboard
Now we're ready to add our custom zipcode Filter:
Primary Zipcode > Operator Contains
Primary Zipcode > Value Paste Values In
Click Run in the top-right corner and your should see your results.
If you'd like to save this report, click the 🔽 in the top-right corner of the results screen, and select Save. Remember to keep the Report private, or put it in your department's folder.
In addition to Zipcodes, Free Map Tools provides a few other result-fields that you could search with—States and Cities.
